The inspiration behind the Satchel & Page leather collection came from Daniel's grandfather and his map case from WWII. Check it out: 

The bag holds stories of courage, resiliency, and love. The leather has aged with character and the bag is still going strong…about 70 years later…Which got Daniel thinking, "Why can’t I find products like this now?"

Most stuff out there is mass produced, disposable and poor quality. To get a decent leather briefcase, it will cost $500 - $1,000 and even then the quality is suspect.  So we’re creating the highest quality leather bags possible. A bag that you will be proud to pass on to future generations.  

Our designs are inspired by the great generation of the 1940s : Map case, Mailbag, Briefcase, Gladstone, Pilot's Bag. We have maintained the original styling of the era, but have added functionality for today's technology.
